WASHINGTON, D.C. – This week, the Defense Credit Union Council’s (DCUC) President/CEO, Anthony Hernandez, and Chief Advocacy Officer (CAO), Jason Stverak, had multiple successful meetings on Capitol Hill championing DCUC advocacy priorities on behalf of its members. During the discussions with staff members from the offices of Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND), and Congressman Steven Horsford (D-NV), Hernandez and Stverak discussed several Congressional initiatives in the 2025 NDAA, military and veteran issues and opportunities, and how defense credit unions are making a difference.
“It was great meeting with Congressional leaders yesterday. They fully understood and signaled support for our positions on various NDAA initiatives,” said Hernandez. “I was honored when asked how we could help in improving financial literacy for our Nation’s military members. Fortunately, we had examples on hand along with a letter of support for similar legislation last year. It is great working with Jason, and I look forward to continued engagements over the summer.” Comments are closed.
