Value of a DCUC Membership
Advocacy
DCUC  is a leading industry voice on issues affecting credit unions and their members, bringing the military perspective to national and state issues. DCUC is proud to represent credit unions on Capitol Hill, at the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), Department of Defense (DoD),  Veterans Administration (VA), Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), and beyond.
DCUC is perfectly positioned to take the lead in fighting to ensure the
Military Lending Act won't hurt servicemembers on active duty.
- James Schenck, President & CEO, PenFed Credit Union

Compliance
DCUC ensures that its members are fully aware of the unique protections and benefits military and veteran families have as part of their service.  DCUC does this through educational webinars, self-guided trainings, and providing direct member support for specific questions and issues.

For credit unions serving on DoD and VA installations, DCUC assists with solving on-base issues, such as operating agreements, land leases, and on-base access.

Education Resources
DCUC offers multiple educational conferences every year where you can learn the latest in industry news beyond just banking and financials.

DCUC provides member-only, free financial education resources and training modules such as the Installation, Policy, and Operations Guide and the Armed Forces Financial Guide.

Communications
DCUC is the best place to get industry news, and insights. We are committed to timely and relevant updates to give our members the right information when they need it most.

DCUC is currently building a member-led forum, DCUC Connect, that will allow members to network with each other and gain valuable insights and best practices from other credit unions doing the important work of serving our military and veteran members.

For over 50 years, DCUC has collected and shared our members’ good news stories with the media as well as your legislators and regulators. This ensures that your commitment to serving your communities and following your cooperative, not-for-profit principles does not get overlooked when decision makers are looking at our industry.
