Fort Lee Federal Credit Union Announces 2018 Scholarship Winners

May 7, 2018, Prince George, VA Fort Lee Federal Credit Union offered an expanded “Excellence in Leadership” Scholarship Program in 2018, awarding scholarships to four graduating seniors within its membership. Qualified students submitted applications and were judged anonymously on academic merit, personal achievements, demonstrated leadership experience, extra-curricular involvement and/or work experience. The Credit Union is proud to announce their 2018 winners:
Graham Kapadia, $2,500 Scholarship Recipient
A senior from the Appomattox Regional Governor’s School, Mr. Kapadia plans to attend Virginia Commonwealth University, with a major in Painting and Printmaking.
Skyler Martin, $1,000 Scholarship Recipient
A senior at Prince George High School, Mr. Martin plans to attend John Tyler Community College and then Virginia Commonwealth University. He will major in Computer Engineering Technology.
Selena Yanoska, $1,000 Scholarship Recipient
Miss Yanoska is a senior at Amelia County High School. She plans to attend Jefferson College of Health Sciences, where she will earn a Bachelor of Science in Emergency Services.
Hunter Simmons, $1,000 Scholarship Recipient
Mr. Simmons is a senior at Matoaca High School. He plans to attend Carolina Coastal University and study Marine Biology and Environmental Science.
Scholarship recipients were honored at Fort Lee Federal Credit Union’s annual meeting and dinner on April 17, 2018. The Credit Union congratulates each of them on this outstanding achievement.
