WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Defense Credit Union Council (DCUC) proudly welcomes Unitus Community Credit Union as its newest affiliate member. Founded in 1937 by employees of Pacific Telephone & Telegraph, Unitus Community Credit Union has proudly served Oregon for over 85 years. What began as a small group pooling resources to support one another has grown into a vibrant financial cooperative serving 15 counties across Oregon and the entire state of Washington.
"We’re incredibly honored to be the only Oregon-based credit union to be a member of the Defense Credit Union Council. At Unitus, we’ve always believed in the power of community and service—and this new partnership is a natural extension of that commitment. We’re excited to stand alongside fellow DCUC member credit unions who are making a difference in the lives of military, veteran, and their families,” said Steven Stapp, Unitus Community CU President/CEO. "We are proud to welcome Unitus Community Credit Union to DCUC. Their dedication aligns perfectly with DCUC’s work to strengthen the impact of credit unions serving our nation’s military and veterans. We look forward to working together to advance the defense credit union movement and serving those who serve us all,” said Anthony Hernandez, DCUC President/CEO.
