(June 9, 2025) – On Monday morning, the Defense Credit Union Council (DCUC) wrote to both Chairman Steve Womack and Ranking Member Jim Clyburn of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies, as well as Chairman Ken Calvert and Ranking Member Betty McCollum of the Subcommittee on Defense House Committee on Appropriations. DCUC sent several letters ahead of congressional committee hearings, hosted its third, industry-wide strategy meeting (more here), and provided key updates to its MAC members on legislative and regulatory issues taking heed at both state and national levels. With the Reconciliation Bill now moving into the Senate’s hands, the meeting’s objective was clear: coordinate a united response to protect the credit union tax status and other industry priorities while amplifying the voice of credit unions serving America’s communities and Main Street America. |
