Bettendorf, IA (September 14, 2020) – R.I.A. FCU presented a check for $4,700 to representatives of Honor Flight of the Quad Cities. The donation comes from sponsorships and donations collected this spring. R.I.A. FCU sponsors and hosts the organization’s golf outing every May, but because of Covid-19 concerns, the event was postponed until spring 2021.
“R.I.A. has hosted the Honor Flight golf outing for the past 5 years,” said Jake Ward, Vice President of Marketing at R.I.A. “Although we could not hold the event this year, we wanted to continue to support this awesome organization through donations and company sponsorships that were already in place. We look forward to next year’s events.”
According to Jay Watters, Honor Flight Board member, “It was an honor to be present when R.I.A. personnel presented Honor Flight a check for the 2020 R.I.A./Honor Flight golf outing. Although we did not have the golf outing, R.I.A. and our sponsors still came through. Thank you! We are looking forward to 2021.”
