Papillion, Nebraska—Cobalt Credit Union broke ground on its soon-to-be newest branch location in Gretna, Nebraska, on July 29. Cobalt President and CEO Gail DeBoer was joined by Cobalt Board Chairperson Dr. Julia Cronin-Gilmore and Gretna Mayor Jim Timmerman at the official ground breaking ceremony. Tony Fucinaro, senior vice president of MCL Construction and Matthew DeBoer, vice president and managing principal at HDR participated in the event, as well.
The new 3,400 square foot branch located at 11661 South Highway 6 will include a drive-thru Interactive Teller Machine (ITM). This latest member-focused touchpoint provides face-to-face banking assistance from a knowledgeable Cobalt Credit Union representative using live video technology.
“We are very excited to better serve the Gretna community with this new branch. We have many members in Gretna already and it is wonderful to provide that convenience for them and future members,” said, DeBoer, Colbalt’s chief executive. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Cobalt’s members have been able to do their everyday banking through the safety and convenience of contactless drive-thru and video banking services.
Construction on the Gretna branch is scheduled to be complete in spring of 2021.
