Founded in 1947 to provide banking service to Keesler Air Force Base employees, it now has 33 branches and has grown its branch network by 38 percent the last three and a half years.
Membership now exceeds 228,000.
“Jackson County has been, and will continue to be, a key market for Keesler Federal,” said Andy Swoger, Keesler Federal President CEO. “We have built a strong relationship with our members in Jackson County, and because of strong growth and demand for our services and products we realized the need to expand our operations.
Forbes magazine recently honored Keesler Federal as one of “America’s Best in State Credit Unions” in its inaugural ranking of the industry.
Additionally, Datatrac – an independent, national research firm that monitors deposit and loan rates, fees and product features – recognized Keesler Federal with the Datatrac Great Rate Award® for its auto loan, saving deposit and certificate rates.
“Whether it’s our lending or deposit rates, we are consistently the best in our markets,” Swoger said. “More importantly, we look for a way to say yes to our members. We believe in our members and will exhaust every option available to help them. And it’s very easy to qualify for membership.”
