DCUC discussed ongoing concerns with the Military Lending Act and the upcoming administrative review, our working relationships with other Federal/non-Federal entities, and our current support for DoD Financial Readiness Programs. A highlight of the meeting was finding common ground with Director Kraninger's current push to increase savings for military members along with financial education.

DCUC provided examples of our commitment along with our recent podcast on Military Home Life Radio and webinar with the Military Spouse Advocacy Network. It was clearly evident there are synergies between our messaging and efforts and we agreed to work together.

"It was a great meeting with Assistant Director Rice and I am encouraged by the reception and ongoing dialogue we established, during our meeting" said Tony Hernandez, DCUC President and CEO.

DCUC also learned Director Kraninger will be visiting Joint Base San Antonio, TX later on this month. This follows a recent visit to Travis AFB, CA. DCUC will work to ensure our San Antonio area Defense Credit Unions are aware so we can demonstrate our financial readiness training. Director Kraninger will be making visits to other military installations throughout the year and CFPB agreed to work with us so we can alert our Defense Credit Unions.
