Defense Council Announces New Military Advocacy Committee (CUToday, December 11, 2018)

WASHINGTON—The Defense Credit Union Council has announced a new Military Advocacy Committee that it said will help shape and guide the conversations on hot button issues such as the Military Lending Act, GAP insurance, and no-cost land leases. 

“Defense credit unions have an important voice and perspective on the issues affecting military families and the defense credit union industry,” the DCUC said in a statement. “This experience has been forged by their long history of serving their military memberships and needs to be heard by legislative and regulatory decision makers. The new committee will serve as a focus group for this initiative.”
