Andrews Federal Sponsors 2016 Walk to End Alzheimer’s

Suitland, MD (September 29, 2016): Andrews Federal Credit Union is a proud sponsor of the 2016 Walk to End Alzheimer’s.  Additionally, Andrews Federal staff members and their families formed teams to participate in walks in Maryland and the District of Columbia. The Alzheimer’s Eliminators team, comprised of branch and headquarters staff, completed the first walk in La Plata, MD.

Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Every dollar raised benefits those affected by Alzheimer’s disease.

“We welcomed the opportunity to support this worthy cause,” said Sasha Harding, Waldorf Branch Manager. “It means even more when we can actively participate to raise money for prevention and treatment.”

The Andrews Federal “DC Nationals” team will be participating in the next walk in Washington, DC on October 8th.

Tameyka Whitney, Sasha Harding, Regina Hartsock, Kim Revell and Michelle Castillo participated in the 2016 Walk to End Alzheimer’s in La Plata, MD.
