Every year our credit union offers dress down days for our staff to raise money to adopt military families that are having a hard time. Our staff pays $3.00 per day or $10.00 per week. This winter we collected $2600.00! This allowed us to adopt three families.
Our first family has four children; one is a special needs child. She is an E4 in the Army.
Our second family has four children, and they are all special needs. The mom homeschools them. He is an E5 in the Army.
Our last family has four children. They have all been adopted by their aunt, who is a SSG, to keep them from being split up in foster care. She has no kinds of her own and is single.
We will be buying them shoes, socks, underwear, clothes and a few toys. They were all so grateful. We thank our staff again for all they do and their generosity. We have many staff volunteers that shop and wrap the gifts before delivering them to the families.
