RICHMOND, Va., JUNE 14, 2017 – Henrico Federal Credit Union and NBC12 completed their second year sponsoring Excellence in Education; a program which acknowledges educators who inspire greatness, develop children’s self-worth and provide lessons that last a lifetime. During the 2016-2017 school year 9 educators were recognized from various schools throughout the Central Virginia region.

Anyone is invited to nominate an educator. The submitted nominations must include what the nominee has done to inspire their students to be role models inside and outside of the classroom. Nominations are evaluated by a panel of business leaders and professors from Virginia Commonwealth University, University of Richmond and Virginia State University. Each month an educator is selected by the panel and recognized. To nominate an educator visit www.henricofcu.org.

Henrico Federal Credit Union was chartered in 1967 to serve the employees of Henrico County, Virginia.
